Privacy Policy

Grown Up Cruises is an independent online cruise discovery service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Virgin Voyages. Reservations are completed by an authorized travel seller, who handles your booking and payment under their own privacy policy.

• Account details if you sign in: your email address and the display name you choose. Your password is stored by our sign-in provider (Supabase) only as a one-way hash; we never see it.
• Saved sailings and, only if you tick the box, saved Cruise Matchmaker answers and results.
• Support requests: your name, email address and what you write to us.
• Group trips you create or join: trip details, guest names and invitation email addresses, RSVPs, cabin preferences and any special requirements you share.
• Booking handoffs: when you continue to an authorized seller, an anonymous record of the sailing, time and destination. Campaign information (such as an advertising source) is attached only if you choose to share it.
• Technical data needed to run and secure the site, such as IP address (used in hashed form for rate limiting) and browser type.

We never ask for payment card details through our forms or by email, and our forms reject card numbers. Payments happen only with the authorized travel seller.

• To provide the site: search, saved sailings, the Matchmaker, group planning and support.
• To send emails you asked for or that relate to your group or request (you can opt out of group reminders).
• To pass your request to the authorized travel seller when you ask us to.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

The Cruise Matchmaker may use an AI service (OpenAI) to write explanations for sailings our own system has already ranked. We send only your preferences in general terms and facts about the sailings — never your name, email address, account details or the special requirements you type. Requests are sent with storage disabled.

We use service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Supabase (database and sign-in)
• Vercel (hosting)
• Resend (email delivery)
• OpenAI (Matchmaker explanations, as described above)

We share your details with the authorized travel seller only when you ask us to help with a booking or support request. We do not sell personal information.

You can update your profile, delete saved Matchmaker results and manage group email preferences from your account. To request a copy or deletion of your data, contact us through the Contact page. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.

Access to personal data is restricted by role, and other guests never see your email address. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
